Have you chosen Valencia as your Erasmus destination? You have just arrived and the first thing you want to do is to meet new people and explore this wonderful town. So how about touring the coolest neighborhoods and trying the best bars to find out where to go out in Valencia?

When the night falls, Valencia transforms itself, and from midnight to 3:30, pubs and bars are crowded with young people. These are the areas where you can find the best nightlife during your stay in Valencia:

1. Old Town

The Barrio del Carmen area is one of the places where you will find a lot of movement and cool places to go out at night. How about a nice cold beer in one of the squares of this neighborhood? As you’re in the city center, you might as well take a walk through the oldest streets of the city.

2. Eixample

This neighborhood envelops the areas of Mercado de Colon, the Plaza de Canovas and others around it. Even here, as night falls, you will be spoiled for choice: there are tons of venues that suit your evening.

3-Avenida de Aragon and Alameda

When the weather allows for it, take a seat at one of the outdoor tables in this area around the City of Arts and Sciences. This is one of the Erasmus students’ favorite neighborhoods!

4. Rufaza

Welcome to the most multicultural neighborhood of Valencia! Nowadays, this is where all the most alternative night spots of the city are. You will experience super cool evenings under a starry sky in Soho, Valencia. Jazz and rock, tapas and a great mix of cultures!

5. La Marina Real Juan Carlos I

The panoramic views from here are something unique and unforgettable. How about enjoying a drink after a day of studying? Here, you will find many trendy places. And when summer starts, let yourself be lulled by the wind and the magical sound of the waves while you sip your drink!

Before we leave you to your fun times, we want to point out the perfect places to start exploring Valencia’s nightlife:

1- Cafe de las Horas — the place to try a tasty glass of “Water of Valencia”, a cocktail made with sparkling wine or champagne, orange juice, vodka and gin.
Cafe de las Horas Conde de Almodovar, 1 (Barrio del Carmen)

2- Café del Duende — for a glass of sangria or beer while admiring talented flamenco dancers. To mingle with the locals, you must also appreciate and learn about their culture ? Plus, because you probably don’t know… in 2010, flamenco was declared Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO!
Café del Duende Turia, 62

3- Umbracle is a terrace in the heart of the City of Arts and Sciences. Definitely a must? Yes! Try dancing in a magical atmosphere, under the moon of Valencia on Umbracle’s terrace.
Umbracle Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias Av. Del Saler, 5

4- Radio City — a place to drink, listen to music, meet a lot of new people, see flamenco shows and attend exhibitions. A place suitable for any type of event! Check the program.
Radio City Santa Teresa, 19

5- Las Animas and here … mucho mas que fiesta. With a great terrace, perfect to taste cocktails (although not very cheap!), but with a cool environment that is, at least, worth a visit 🙂
Las Animas Pizarro, 31
