Being vegetarian or vegan can be a little bit challenging when you move to a new city. We know it can be a slight challenge to find a nice place to eat, so here we are, bringing you a list of the best plant-based restaurants in town!
Vegetarian and veganism are rapidly growing in Valencia and, nowadays, you’re able to find many options, especially in the area of El Carmen and Ruzafa, which are the most Bohemians and trendy neighbourhoods in the city. Here’s our guide to some of the best veggie eating spots in Valencia.
This group manages three vegetarian restaurants: Malmö and Copenhagen in Ruzafa and Oslo in El Carmen. All of them serve really similar dishes but, I must confess, my favourite one is Oslo. The space is really comfortable and the interior design follows a Scandinavian style. If you go there you have to order the FauxGrass Torta, it’s delicious!
The average price for the three of them is approximately 32€ for two persons.
We can say this is one of the city’s best veggie restaurants and it’s decorated like a typical Spanish Taverna. You can see the kitchen from the dining room, to see how the cooks work and to see how fresh and meat-free they are! You’ll find this amazing restaurant in El Carmen. The average price for two persons is 28€.
If you’re looking for a fast food kind of restaurants, we definitely recommend you to try out this place. There are two restaurants, both located in the neighbourhood of El Carmen, which offer the best vegan burgers you’ll ever try in Valencia. They also have smoothies and vegan treats, so if you have a sweet tooth, this is your place! The average price for two persons is 24€.

Have you ever heard of Açaí? Found on açaí palm trees in South American rainforests, açaís berries are quite similar to grapes but so many vitamins, antioxidants and nutrients that it is considered a superfood. In this restaurant, located in the heart of El Carmen, you’ll find delicious smoothie bowls made out of this berry but also yummy veggie burgers, sandwiches and platters to share! The average price for two persons is 25€.
Finally, I could not finish this posts without talking about this restaurant. Although it is not vegetarian nor vegan, it has such a broad menu of vegan dishes. You can have from vegan cheese fingers and nachos, to vegan burritos, burgers and wraps! So this restaurant is perfect to go to, in case you’re going with your meat-eater friends, as you’ll have plenty of options to choose from! The average price for two persons is 30€.
And here it ends our recommendations of vegetarian and vegan restaurants in Valencia. It is incredible and really comforting to see how many new veggie restaurants are opening in so little time, and also how quick non-vegan restaurants are adapting to this growing trend by adding vegan dishes to their menu. We hope you like them all as much as we do!
