Managing the office outside the box! (…well, kind of)

Office Manager Uniplaes team

I’m 39, a mum and former model, born and raised in Lisbon. At the begining of this year, without knowing, Uniplaces came to me as a long needed challenge. It’s been a very short but very fulfilling ride as Office Manager (and Executive Assistant) at Uniplaces.

Looking back 3 months ago, who would have thought I’d be at Uniplaces, writing about Uniplaces?
As I walk through the office door every morning, I never know what might hit me when I get to my desk, and that’s what makes this job so interesting: every day brings new challenges and new achievements. There is never a dull moment, since all team members are important and get to become a part of my day!

Besides my mug, i never know what I will find at my desk: “that’s what makes this job so interesting”
I can start at 9am by giving all newcomers “tools for trade” or managing a meeting with some supplier, and end up at 6pm scheduling meetings with London for one of our Founders.
I kid you not when I say there are highly stressfull moments (or singing to myself moments, with no harm done since it’s mostly huuuummmmm), but I woulnd’t have it any other way!

Even though Office Management is a part of HR team, I’m kind of an all-around team member: the Office Manager can be either the office PR for suppliers or/and the suppliers’ PR for the office, because I (really) believe we all need each other to succeed.
Uniplaces is a very ambitious place, where our own personal marks are challenged everyday. Mine started as soon as I stepped into the boat: the office space.
It took creativity and patience and all team’s generousity to get things done but today you can find a hidden kind-of-paradise in the middle of Lisbon (with a view and a ping pong table), where we all work together to help you achieve your own ambitious goals and start living the dream.

I hope to keep sharing this journey, cruising to success, with the same heartfelt generousity that Uniplaces has given me until now.

Thanks for reading this post! We hope to see you soon, coming back for more.
