Portugal is known for having one of the best cuisines in the world. You’ll find delicious food at a great price all over the country and vegetarian and vegan people won’t be disappointed – at least not in Lisbon. Despite many of the most famous Portuguese dishes containing either meat or fish, the country’s capital offers a very good variety of animal-free restaurant options.
We’ve asked the local vegetarians and vegans which are their favourite spots in the city and listed below are the top five must-try vegetarian and vegan restaurants in Lisbon.

A meal including an entrance, the main course and a simple drink costs around 15€ per person.
