La Cité combines all the best things in life: a quiet atmosphere with little movement, great music, craft beer and an awesome vibe. Add to this, plenty of seating and good wifi, it’s definitely one of our favourite places to study in Florence.
This is one of the best places to admire the dome of Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral while sitting and enjoying an italian espresso. Located on the second floor of the Library – Biblioteca delle Oblate – the Caffetteria is open everyday and also works as a restaurant.
Designed to eat and read, Brac is both a contemporary art library and a café-restaurant. Menu is mostly vegetarian and vegan. It is open everyday from midday to midnight, within 4 minutes walking from the Florence Cathedral.
The former prison of Florence is now a place where you can study all day, every day. Start with a low cost breakfast – students only. Have some lunch and even a buffet aperitivo by the end of the afternoon. Enjoy the tables and benches outside in the large patio, it is definitely a favourite spot of Firenze’s students.
This true American bakery is also a perfect spot to study, wifi, bagels and muffins included. Mama’s Bakery is on the south side of the river, about five minutes away from Palazzo Pitti. American style with nutella on top.
