This is the central library of University Pompeu Fabra since 1999. Such an astonishing building provides students in Barcelona, regardless of whether they study at University Pompeu Fabra or not, with the opportunity to study in a quiet and beautiful environment crammed with history. The building, first conceived as the water tower for Ciutadella Park, was designed in 1874 by Josep Fontserè. Antoni Gaudi himself had a take on the design as a student of architecture. Its traditional structure combines with the modern technique used in its construction and the renovations carried out in 1993.

This library has over 25.000 documents, 29 computers and different areas for cultural activities. It is ideally close to several cultural and innovative facilities, such as the National Theatre of Catalunya, the Auditorium, the Encants market or the technological district 22@.

Inside La Filmoteca de Catalunya, in the Raval Neighborhood (Plaça de Salvador Seguí, 1-9). It is close to La Rambla de les Flors and the famous and fancy opera house known as Liceu.
