ULisboa – University of Lisbon

ULisboa (Universidade de Lisboa) is the University of Lisbon. ULisboa’s faculties mostly work as their own autonomous institutions, but they ultimately belong to the ULisboa group. The university is the largest university in Portugal and recently merged with the Technical University of Lisbon.

ULisboa’s faculties are usually considered to be top of the country in their fields, but Técnico, its Faculty of Engineering, is among Europe’s very best. The university is also one of Portugal’s leading institutions in the research field, as well as in sports, culture and art.

Every year, thousands of international students come to study at ULisboa’s faculties, so whatever you’re studying, you know you’ll have the opportunity to meet great minds from all around the world. Ultimately, the University of Lisbon lives up to its slogan: a University from Lisbon to the world.

To get to ULisboa, you can either take the metro’s yellow line to “Cidade Universitária”, or one of many buses servicing the area (731, 735, 738, 755, 764, 768)
